LUSAIL CITY

One of the most ambitious and ground-breaking construction projects in recent memory, Lusail is the newest planned city in Qatar. Located on the coast, in the northern part of the municipality of Al Daayen, it will accommodate 200,000 residents.

Lusail will also play a major part in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. With 22 hotels built, all complying with the highest international standards, and five training fields designed to stringent FIFA specifications, the city is fully equipped and ready to host teams and fans alike.

Working with distribution partner Energy International, BLE were asked to supply fire curtains for Lusail City's generator rooms substations. In the event of an emergency, the curtains provide a discreet fire containment solution.

Speaking of the project, BLE's Managing Director Nigel Ward has said, "Everyone at BLE is excited to be part of such a major development. In 2022 Lusail will have the world's attention and we will be proud to say we have contributed to it".
