BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains won a tender with Munster Roller Shutters, to supply Albert Quay with over 50 two hour fire curtains throughout the new build’s seven floors, with work completing on schedule with the phased floor release to the Tenants.
Albert Quay is Cork City’s newest office block and BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains assisted with the application, specification position within the recess and technical support of its fire curtains in what was the biggest curtain job in southern Ireland in 2015.
Nigel Ward, managing director at BLE, said: "We were absolutely delighted to be awarded this contract as it is such a huge project. Work is completing as scheduled and everything is within budget and on time.
“This has been a huge project in both quantity and in dimension, with some of the curtains reaching over 20m long. This is the biggest fire curtain job in southern Ireland in Cork city’s largest office block so we are delighted that we have been able to be a part of it.”
Even though Munster Roller Shutters was a new customer for BLE Smoke& Fire Curtains, a relationship was formed between the firms in Cork when a piece of BLE kit was found on a site that Munster Roller Shutters was called to repair.
BLE Smoke & Fire Curtains also offered support to ensure the product and delivery schedule was met and maintained.
