BURJ KHALIFA

Burj Khalifa was designed to be the centerpiece of a large-scale, mixed-use development that would include 30,000 homes, nine hotels (including The Address Downtown Dubai), 3 hectares (7.4 acres) of parkland, at least 19 residential towers, the Dubai Mall, and the 12-hectare (30-acre) man-made Burj Khalifa Lake

Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 2,716.5 ft. This steel, glass and reinforced concrete tower was constructed between 2004 and 2010, led by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architects. Burj Khalifa was commissioned to help Dubai diversify from an oil-based economy to one that is service and tourism focused.

BLE in conjunction with our local partners from Ferco were asked to design and install fire curtains to be discrete yet provide protection to the buildings and within the requirements of international standards.
